We are Team SD Zero and welcome to our plastic-free movement.
In June of 2021, our project won first place in the Scripps-Rady Ocean Plastic Pollution Challenge Hackathon. Our project proposed a ban on single use plastics on events over 75 people in the city of San Diego. Currently, we are building a coalition of supportive businesses and constituents of San Diego in order to pass our proposal.
Our Single-Use Plastic-Free Event Model Ordinance
The model ordinance presents a framework for the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of standards to promote effective single-use plastic events.
